Where to buy Orthopedic Custom Made Shoes UK? Hello
My husband had a accident a few months back which has resulted in him not being able to wear normal shop brought shoes due to his foot being very wide, flat and not Straight and in shape.
He is having a pair specially made for him via the NHS but these are big boots and not very practical for summer and everyday wear.
Does anyone know here he can get fitted and made some more trendier styles like trainers or suitable summer footwear.
Obviously he cannot buy off the shelf.
Would prefer Essex, London, Kent areas.

edit. they look better on, but not many shops will check the sizing in detail + go on size + width. my daughter had her 1st pair from there (almost 18 yrs ago) they were quite cute. all my friends buy their little ones shoes at clarks. trouble is sensible doesnt always look great but its a decision, looks good, or looks after their feet. good luck whatever you decide!!!"

Gap, next, monsoon etc - they not experts, although their shoes are very cutees.

i bought shoes else where for my son and they didnt fit him properly so its just less hassle buying them from clarks lol

There are often independant stores if you look on Yell.com at local areas. They are usually more expensive but have different shoes to high st chains like Clarks. Good Luck.......my 2 boys of then have at least 2 others at nursery with the same shoes as him (boys shoes are much more boring!)."
Lynne - Not A Supermum! replied: "I buy Clarks for the shoes she's use most of - because they're a better fit than most and they are properly fitted instore and they go by width too. Children's feet are easily damaged, I prefer not to risk it. I get a pair of sensible ones from them then usually some trainers or sandals or something from Next. She has a really nice pair of boots from Clarks which match most of her outfits and she wears them most days."

I really like wearing jeans and a shirt but my jeans always drag on the floor and look pretty stupid.. they cover up most of the shoes. I don't understand why I can't just wear some nice trainers. Azalea replied: "You could try European catalogues, some of them do Size 2s, a 35 in European terms. I have a French based catalogue called La Redoute who do some excellent shoes in a size 2. It's all in English, by the way."
Kins M replied: "Have you tried ebay? I've just done a search and there's 603 pairs of ladies shoes in size 2.5. The majority of these pairs are less than £10 including postage. The only problem is returning them if they don't fit. Some sellers will accept returns so check the listings before you commit to buy. Worst comes to worst you could always re-sell any shoes that didn't fit. I wouldn't advise you keep wearing size 3s they will only ruin your feet in the end.

For high heels, some of the gothic brands do smaller sizes. I'm not sure why, but they're good for things like shiny black heels."

Check if you can get Dunlop Volleys or Dunlop KT26's, their both good cheap comfortable non leather shoes with plenty of grip, unlike a lot of shoe's that look impressive but have you slide all over the place. Those are my number one choices for bushwalking anyway."
